Gold exposed duct network with round diffusers

Ductwork and Ventilation

Ductwork carries conditioned air to every corner of a space, and the way it is made, insulated and installed shapes cooling, noise and energy use. We fabricate and install ductwork to suit the design of each space, from concealed runs above ceilings to exposed round ducts that become part of restaurant and café interiors.

Duct types we fabricate and install

We handle all sheet-metal and duct works, fabricating ducts to the sizes each project needs rather than relying on off-the-shelf pieces that do not fit the site, whether the building is under construction or already in use and being altered. We coordinate duct routes with the electrical, plumbing and ceiling trades on site, so ducts do not clash with other services or force costly changes later.

  • Concealed ducts above false ceilings in offices, villas and shops
  • Ducts for central systems and package units in larger buildings
  • Ducts for concealed ducted split units in rooms and apartments
  • Rectangular sheet-metal ducts made to size
  • Exposed round ducts with finishes and colours to match the interior

Exposed ducts for restaurants and cafés

Many modern restaurants and cafés leave the ceiling open, and the ductwork becomes a visible part of the design rather than something to hide. Moving air is no longer enough: runs need to be straight, joints clean and hangers evenly spaced, and the colour and finish have to fit the identity of the venue.

We have installed exposed round duct networks for restaurants in Riyadh, and we coordinate diffuser positions with table layouts and lighting so the cooling reaches the seating evenly, without uncomfortable draughts.

Fabrication, insulation and installation

Air passing through a poorly insulated duct loses some of its cooling before it arrives, and condensation can form on the duct surface in humid conditions. We insulate concealed ducts and seal their joints, support them on hangers suited to their weight and route, then fit the supply diffusers and return grilles and balance airflow between outlets, so one room is not freezing while another is starved of air. We also watch air velocity in the ducts and outlet sizes, because undersized ducts or the wrong outlets make airflow noisy, which is a real nuisance in offices and bedrooms.

  • Insulated ducts and sealed joints to cut air leakage
  • Firm hangers and supports that prevent vibration and sagging
  • Diffusers and return grilles in styles that suit the ceiling
  • Airflow balancing between rooms and outlets

Ventilation and fresh air

Air conditioning cools the air; ventilation renews it and removes odours, heat and fumes. We carry out a range of ventilation works, including fresh-air supply, exhaust from kitchens and bathrooms, and ventilation for car parks and storage areas, coordinated with the AC system so the two work efficiently together.

Why Rukn Al Khaleej for this service?

01

Made to Suit Every Design

We fabricate ducts in the shapes and sizes your site needs, whether hidden above the ceiling or exposed as part of the interior.

02

Care with Exposed Ducts

With exposed ductwork we pay as much attention to clean lines, hangers and colour as to air distribution, because the network becomes part of what guests see.

03

Integrated with Your AC

We design and install ductwork as part of the complete AC system, so unit capacity, air paths and outlets match from the start.

Common questions

All questions
Can the ducts be finished in a colour that matches our restaurant?

Yes. Exposed round ducts can be finished in different colours and finishes to suit the interior design, and we also make sure runs are straight, joints are clean and hangers are consistent, because every detail is on show to guests. It is best to involve your interior designer early to agree the colour and outlet positions.

Why do concealed ducts need insulation?

Cold air travels through them across the hot void above the ceiling. Without good insulation it loses part of its cooling before it reaches the rooms, and condensation can form on the ducts and drip, leaving stains on the ceiling. Proper insulation protects both efficiency and finishes.

Why are some rooms too cold while others get too little air?

This usually comes down to air distribution: undersized ducts, leaking joints, dampers that were never set, or too few return grilles. We inspect the network, find the cause and fix it, either by rebalancing or by modifying the parts that need it.

Do you handle kitchen and bathroom ventilation?

Yes. Our ventilation works include exhaust from kitchens and bathrooms and fresh-air supply. We coordinate ventilation with the AC system so conditioned air is not pulled out without being replaced and odours do not spread to the rest of the building.
