Project overview
In buildings under construction, HVAC work has to be done before suspended ceilings are closed and finished, because ducts, concealed units and copper and drain lines end up hidden above the ceiling. Any mistake at this stage becomes harder and more expensive to fix once finishing is done.
The photos show a range of work by Rukn Al Khaleej on projects of this type in Riyadh, from aluminium-faced insulated duct networks to concealed ducted split units above room entrances, cassette units fixed to concrete ceilings, and examples of round and curved exposed ductwork.
Scope of work
- Fabricating, supplying and hanging ductwork from concrete slabs.
- Insulating ducts with aluminium-faced insulation.
- Installing concealed ducted split units above room entrances and connecting them to the ductwork.
- Fixing cassette units to concrete ceilings ahead of finishing.
- Installing round and curved exposed ducts with diffusers.
- Copper piping and drain lines, and mounting outdoor units on walls.
- Electrical connections inside AC unit panels.
